There's hope for the rest of us :-) Peter, there's 2 phone booths in the back yard, from my view. One by the metal shed and one by the house. Jim -- RETRO Innovations, Contemporary Gear for Classic Systems www.go4retro.com store.go4retro.com
Heh, this is 40 minutes south of me, almost want to go check it out, but I'd feel bad wasting the real estate agent's time. The guy responsible for the Heathkit H-29 terminal lives just over the mountain from that house. I love the car in the garage, too. Beautiful little house, overall. Roanoke has grown so much, and is so much nicer, than it was in the mid 1990s, when I was at Virginia Tech. My family visited the science museum and a number of the stores and restaurants when we were down that way early this summer. - Alex On Fri, Aug 25, 2023 at 10:34 AM Jonathan Chapman via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

It's funny - having just driven down the Shenandoah valley recently to see some caves with the family- almost every city down there in VA seems to have its own Uni. Pretty amazing. VA tech, Washington & Lee, Mary Baldwin, James Madison, UVA. I guess Virginians has always been interested in educating their kids. I didn't make it down as far as Lexington and Roanoke/Blacksburg but I'm planning another trip in the fall for more caves. I'll see them then. Stanton and Harrisonburg and Luray were very interesting and fun towns to visit for a day. -andy

I’ll bet this is someone who passed away, and I wonder if whoever is responsible has a detailed accounting of it. It can go either way, where the family is well aware, but sometimes they aren’t… When I did estate planning, this was the one of the biggest nightmares, because something in the house that look like a piece of junk could be insanely valuable. Like this story of the Rembrandt under the ping-pong table in Teaneck… https://www.nj.com/bergen/2018/01/how_an_old_painting_turned_out_to_be_a_11_...
