OSI 495 Protoboards are in!
They're in! One slight mistake in the Gerber files, since fixed, but inconsequential: http://imgur.com/a/cUg8t Looks pretty good to me! The board is much stiffer than the original OSI 495 it's based off of, which is a good thing. I'll bring them to the workshop this weekend if anyone wants to take a look. Thanks, Jonathan
Pretty sweet! How much did it cost to get them made? On Feb 22, 2016, at 6:40 PM, Systems Glitch via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote: They're in! Per-board from the fab? Around $20 each. Including the initial purchase of an original OSI 495 and the scanning to Gerber files, more like $100 each, which is about what the original cost me. Of course, having more boards manufactured will reduce the per-board cost, as the development effort is a fixed cost. I need to find some way of determining interest in these boards, I don't want to make a larger run if no one actually wants to buy any! Perhaps I'll list a few on eBay, explaining that they're a trial run. Thanks, Jonathan
