Jeff, WWII cryptanalysis is my new favorite reading topic. If you have not read The Ultra Secretby F. W. Winterbotham, it should be your next book. This book covers how we (US and GB) used intellegence obtained from Ultra and is the only such book I've found. All the rest deal with the how of "code breaking". My current read is "Code Girls" by Liza Mundy dealing with American women worked on crypography in from about 1915 to post WWII. Other books include "The Hut 6 Story" and "The Colossus Computer (1943-1996): And How it Helped to Break the German Lorenz Cipher in WWII" by Tony Sale.
