Thanks Dave, that makes sense. I had a very nice convo with the guy pointing out his pricing was... a little off. The listing has been updated, he's asking $5k-6k now, which given the condition of it, I doubt he'll get, but he was super-nice about it. Well that's good at least. His price will likely come down further after it sits there for a few months. We have two of these at LSSM, but they've not yet been restored. Our DECmate-I, though, is on the exhibit floor and working great.
