A sign of the End Times ...

The SOLD listings for these chips on Ebay shows they sell for less than $1000 ea, but not that much less. Some lucky people have gotten them for a lot less. On Fri, May 8, 2020 at 12:16 PM Herb Johnson via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

I’m not sure I get the tag line “A sign of the end times.” As recently as March of this year a number of these exact same chips sold from $770 to over $1000. And this is not a new phenomenon. Prices have generally been in this range for at least the past year that I’ve been following auctions of them, likely for longer. As Bill mentioned, there are always some exceptions where someone got a “deal.” Tony
The listing text is weird. *** Picture of Item is available upon request ***
*** Please advise - Thank you ***
Intel C4004 specifications The specs can be used for short-term listings on auction and classifieds sites
There are pictures in the listing already, why would someone need to request a picture? Please advise? Advise about what? It's good to know that the specs that are included in the short-term listing on the auction site eBay can be used for short-term listings on auction and classified sites. Can they not be used for anything else? Is that important to include? This feels very scamlike. The seller is a high-volume outfit. This is boilerplate auction text that is set once in auction management software. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
