Idea: piggybacking off Dustin’s suggestion of maintaining a book list - imagine if we had a MARCH library! Lots of books and magazines and manuals in the warehouse, wouldn’t it be fabulous if once we get them catalogued, we could actually get some use out of them?
Many years ago (before the Museum moved to the new space), I believe there was a "library" in the museum itself - at least there were bookshelves in the different rooms with books on display. I don't know how much usage it ever got, if there was any sort of catalog/index, or if the books were available to borrow as opposed to reading on-site. It might very well be a good idea, but I would be interested to hear from some of the people who had been around long enough to comment on how (or if) the books were being taken advantage of at the time. They might just say, "Yeah, we tried that for years and it just wasn't worth the effort..." Devin
