Replies are appearing all over the place (top/bottom/middle) making it impossible to follow threads sometimes. My I ask that everyone make a concerted effort to "bottom post" when they reply to messages. Let's at least see if it helps. It may be as I fear that some people have devices or email software that makes bottom posting hard/impossible. -- Bill
Using Yahoo mail (especially the mobile version) is difficult to do bottom posting. I need to set up my own mail server and go back to using elm. ;-) Cb Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android From:"william degnan via vcf-midatlantic" <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> Date:Mon, Nov 2, 2015 at 3:20 PM Subject:[vcf-midatlantic] How to Post Replies are appearing all over the place (top/bottom/middle) making it impossible to follow threads sometimes. I respectfully submit that, if that's the case, the device or email software sucks and needs to be replaced. I myself am using Thunderbird. It takes just two or three seconds' worth of effort to properly format a reply, trimming all the "you wrote" lines, remove blank lines, etc. There's little excuse for not doing so. In a forum where it's very likely that the only thing people will ever know about you is what you type and how you type it, these things are important. (Not "you" specifically of course, Bill, you're well-spoken and well-typed...others, not so much.) -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

To do bottom-posting on most recent webmail interfaces (including gmail, which I use), you need to do some editing. Not a big deal, but I assume that most don't think about it. I wish that it would re-become automatic, as that would make things much easier, as it used to be. - Alex
