First of all I want to be clear to everyone that we are doing a live show only this year. We are doing a live show or bust. The website is being updated regularly, but here is a brief update: So far we have 7 classes signed up for VCF University. We have 13 exhibits that take up 21 tables so far. We have 3 vendors: Drakware, Jim Brain, Jeff Galinet Consignment will have a huge amount of space this year taking up almost an entire section of the 9010 building. Glitch will be doing his single board workshop with something new planned. Tony has worked hard to get a food truck for the show. No luck so far, but he is still working on it. We have a Plan B which is to sell sandwiches like we did in 2019. We have 7 speakers lined up for Saturday and Sunday so far with room for one more. We will have 4 speakers each day spread out over the day. Tickets are on sale now. We are still looking for volunteers for all areas. This is shaping up to be a really exciting show! It looks like it will be the biggest show ever! ========================================= Jeff Brace Vice President & Board Member Vintage Computer Festival East Show-runner Vintage Computer Federation is a 501c3 charity http://www.vcfed.org/ jeffrey@vcfed.org
Still need me to do video stuff? Think there will be need for an overflow area with video pulled from main area as we were talking last live event? - Ethan
Jeff, You mentioned that there's a speaker slot available. If you're interested in having a talk about the ENIAC for it's 75th anniversary, I'd be glad to give a talk on that. Full disclosure, I've made the same offer to VCFse. So depending on what each show decides, it could end up being the same talk at both.
