Program Book for VCF East 2022!!
Drew Notarnicola did a great job with this year's program book. Thanks so much Drew! It will be a 12 page, color, 80lb, glossy booklet which we do every year at VCF West. You can find it here: https://vcfed.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/VCF_East_2022_Program_Book_No_M... There are no maps in the Program Book because they were not finished before the deadline (today). We will be finishing them and printing them separately to be available at the show. ========================================= Jeff Brace VCF National Board Member Chairman & Vice President Vintage Computer Festival East Showrunner Vintage Computer Federation is a 501c3 charity http://www.vcfed.org/ jeffrey@vcfed.org
I like it. It looks GREAT!!! Awesome job! As an idea for the future to get in the spirit of the day, we could do one that looks like an old user group newsletter, complete with 9-pin dot-matrix font effect... and some slightly crooked 2-bit scanned images as if they were "added" through a copy machine. I'm sure a lot of us remember reading through those things. :) Perhaps as part of a "user group" themed VCF? ...or produce one exclusively in Broderbund's PrintShop or Newsroom software. Good idea! I’d bet that could be easily duplicated using creative suite with a b/w halftone filter and a dot-matrix font https://fonts2u.com/1979-dot-matrix-regular.font On Thu, Apr 7, 2022 at 3:12 PM Jeff S via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:

You could do it for real with Atari, Newsroom and the Fujinet - the FN would let you 'print' to PDF and then boom- you are done. -andy

Do vendors not get mentioned in the program?
So sorry about that. The vendors were left out by accident. I will make sure that they will be included in next year's program book. I will also update the digital version to include the vendors. I've also updated the main VCF East webpage to include the vendor page link. I will also put the vendor info on the Exhibitor, Vendor, and Campus map printout that we are working on.

That actually looks really good.
Yes Drew has a talent for it. He has done it for VCF West the past few years. I decided last year to do the same for VCF East, but since it was last minute I could only afford to do black and white at Staples (color was *way* too expensive). This year will be full color and glossy. I used UPrinting this year, because they are affordable for color booklets like this, but there is a two week lead time from approval of proof to delivery so assembling and finalizing the booklet has to be done in less than a week.
