This came across my Twitter feed this morning about the two Commodore locations in PA. https://youtu.be/h7d_mDz1yCM Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>
I could barely get through the video. I seriously doubt the guy ever worked there because he doesn't know how to pronounce the name of the company. It isn't "moss" like the stuff that grows around trees, it is M - O - S with each letter spoken. Everyone I ever heard say it who actually worked there in the 1980s says it correctly (Bil Herd, Jack Tramiel, my sister, etc.). Let's please get it right for the sake of correctly documenting history. Thank you. Rant over. That exact point was made in the comments to the video, also likening it to “ISA” as in ISA-bus. It’s correct to say I-S-A, but I think many just say the word (I know I do), but it’s definitely not like the grassy stuff. I believe he claims he was a service rep or something like that, working out of the West Chester building. I liked the video for what it was. I have also done that kind of trip, but I did it in 1998 when GMT Microelectronics was there (I believe they went bust in 2000 or 2001). I couldn’t drive around the building parking lot. It's also not pronounced like the name of a fictional computer programmer/technician at Reynholm Industries. On Thu, Jul 30, 2020, 10:32 AM Chris Fala via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
