I'm pretty sure it'll end up going for more than I can justify, but just in case, I've got it in my watch list. Not to worry though, I certainly don't intend to get into a bidding war with any of you fine folks. BLS
If someone would like to win the auction and donate it to VCF. I can get you a nice letter for the IRS now that we are a 501c3. Remember end of the tax year is coming up soon.... And since we are a charity not a foundation, talk to your tax specialist, the rules are better for deductions when you donate cash, computers or jewels. Cheers, Corey corey cohen uǝɥoɔ ʎǝɹoɔ

MARCH already has an 11/40. Need a 2nd?
MARCH already has an 11/40. Need a 2nd?
I don’t know what this "MARCH" is that you mentioned. InfoAge has an 11/40 in its Grabbe collection. VC Federation curates that collection on InfoAge's behalf, although it is only a tiny percentage of what the Federation itself owns. VC Federation does not own an 11/40.

Yawn.. Legal status aside VCF already has an 11/40 "under curatorship" not to be confused with ownership, at InfoAge. I remember when it was all about the band. Bil

Some stuff has to be more official now that we're a non-profit.

The yawn remains. You could have just said something like "I wish, vcf can't really do anything with Grabbe stuff, it's not technically ours."

That would've been incorrect. We are welcome -- even encouraged -- to restore and use the Grabbe stuff. We just don't own it. Just saying. :)

Anyhoo....that's what I meant, there already is a 11/40 to play with and restore, you don't necessarily need another one when you already have one in the restoration queue. The 11/35 will sell for a ton of $$, VCF/InfoAge/MARCH/Grabbe is sitting on a nice machine, not to mention the 11/20 and two 11/05s already! 11/44, etc. lots of work to do. -- Bill

Corey wasn't all that serious about how someone should buy the /35 and donate it. We are not expecting nor seeking that to happen. We certainly would not decline it. :)
