thanks for replying Martin I still had to check the List archives to look for his reply And it's been an hour already since his reply and it still hasn't arrived here yet. So the Lag happens at work here too I also thought it may be a regional problem, But none of my other Lists have this extreme lag problem I guess this List just doesn't like my subscription any longer ----------------- Martin Flynn maflynn at theflynn.org Wed Apr 12 08:06:54 EDT 2017 Previous message (by thread): [vcf-midatlantic] TESTING 3...2...1 Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] Ack

I have seen lag too. I saw a response to a post, then 12 hours later the original post came through. ACK! I'm having some issues with the prefix for this group not showing up for me, but for other people. On Wed, Apr 12, 2017 at 7:58 AM, Dan Roganti via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Dean seemed to think that there was an issue with sending directly to the e-mail address of the group instead of via the list server. What does that mean? On Thu, Apr 13, 2017 at 7:52 AM, Jeffrey Brace <ark72axow@gmail.com> wrote:

Everyone: I'm filing a support ticket with the company that provides our main list. Will share an update when they reply. I think you're talking about your original post that you send to the List At least with GMail accts, they avoid the duplicate posts from the List server which gets broadcasted to all List members and so it only shows the one you sent in your mail folder. And so it never has the prefix from the List server message, only the subsequent replies to your post. I'm not sure why they do it like this. I just filter my messages and the VCFed posts to all go in one mail folder for VCFed email so it doesn't get lost. On the traditional email clients, Thunderbird, Pegasus, Eudora, etc you have the option to receive the same post, which you just sent, that's from the List server instead which includes the prefix.
