<obNitpick>It's a crankshaft, not a camshaft. Crank shafts have "cranks" on them, camshafts have "cams" or lobes. </obNitpick> Jim

True!
Cool! Now make it pneumatically powered like this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0ny9rLNDOk I built a little single cylinder lego engine as a kid that could be powered by compressed air or vacuum by a vacuum cleaner :) Those were the days... -Connor K On 5/11/2017 12:42 AM, Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic wrote:

Yeah but that's done with modern parts where you get a lot more variety. Everything I do is with the 1970s/1980s parts from my childhood.

Why am I not surprised? :) I'll get back to game programming for the robot when Kfest nears. Been studying some books/manuals...

I know that one was, I just referenced it since it was a V8 But I really made one more like this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pV5vY6h4Jg Which is made from a lot more simple parts. If you have the time and the parts... ;) -Connor K

The thought has crossed my mind, but just like the robot I'd have to gear it down to make the (oddly heavy) Lego wheels actually spin. At that point it would go somewhere .... slowly.
