Re: [vcf-midatlantic] No more overnight sleeping at InfoAge
This is more than just a festival issue. Many volunteers stay over every month at the monthly workshops, for the swap meets, and this also affects Festivus as well. Some volunteers even stay here to docent or for warehouse cleanups. We depend on the bunks for volunteers. Especially considering many of them come from multiple states away. Wall township needs to be informed that we rely on these bunks for members to stay over and assist our organization with many of our weekly operations. This isn’t some ‘cheap hotel,’ this is a critical staff asset for our volunteers at all the local events. -Ian L. So unfortunately volunteers will have to find a hotel or other arrangements for overnight stays.
That is truly unfortunate. I did not take advantage of the option during VCF-E trips but I know it enabled some folks around the area to attend/volunteer who would otherwise not be able to do so.
Sorry the group is having to deal with this.

I'm sure someone at info age is trying to find out what needs to be done to be "compliant" and then they will have to put together a plan and budget. This also means that well, it will cost money. If you want this, just be ready to help donate to the cause. On Thu, Oct 24, 2024 at 6:21 AM Ian Litchfield via vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
