Evan,If you would like a video camera for the display, I've got a broken JVC Everio GZ-MC500.  It was a cool DVD-quality Handycam-esque unit from 2005.  It might be too modern in one sense, but it's small.  And being broken, having it glued to a wall seems like a good use for it. -Jonathan
