Swap meet in two weeks! Oct. 17
Just a reminder. The swap meet is in two weeks. Information is here: https://vcfed.org/vcf-swap-meet/ We do need volunteers, so email me privately if you can help. Some of our usual volunteers are away on that day. Take care! I'm just going to hijack this email... :) Just like earlier this year, a MARCH Workshop will be running the same weekend as the VCF Swapmeet. The only difference from regular MARCH Workshops, the Saturday Workshop will start at Noon, instead of 10AM. MARCH Workshops are normally $15 per day for access. On the weekend of October 17-18, if you attend the VCF Swap Meet on Saturday, October 17, you will be issued a special wristband for access to the Swap Meet. That wristband will also grant you free access to Saturday's MARCH Workshop at the nearby InfoAge campus. After you attend the VCF Swapmeet, stop by the MARCH Workshop to see what our (almost) monthly Workshop events are all about. Meet other vintage computer collectors. Learn how fellow vintage collectors, such as yourself, work in a group environment, sharing knowledge, diagnosing problems, repairing, or otherwise reconditioning items from their personal collections. Directions and other information about the Workshop can be found here: Repair Workshops @ InfoAge – Vintage Computer Federation <https://vcfed.org/repair-workshops-at-infoage/> We like to have a general count of attendees so we can get enough tables and chairs ready for the event. So if you plan on attending the Workshop, please add your name to the list on this Google Sheet. CASH IS KING BABY!! seriously though Do a little research, find out where the ATMs are, Point them in the right direction if they need cash. Honestly, maybe they should put on the flyer where the ATMs are? Certainly wouldn’t hurt! Mike Sent from: My extremely complicated, hand held electronic device.

Large bills are OK if you know the person of course! Honestly, I’d love to see a bad bill that I could not identify as bad. You have the right to refuse any Bill, including Marked bills and Torn bills! If you get their phone number, Write it on the bill, call them to verify. But yeah, it’s always easier to take 20s or smaller. Best way is just to keep your eyes open and watch the person and take a good look at the bill Even if you’re busy Mike Sent from: My extremely complicated, hand held electronic device.
