FYI, email header from the strange problem with the List Server

Ps. Once again my reply went to you instead of to the list. I don't know why. It is frustrating. Going to re-send it to the list which was my intention.
FYI, that List Server glitch that I mentioned the other day, I think it may confuse some of our Email Clients supposed to be only one recipient sent by the List Server so then no CC or BCC should be added by the List Server The "REPLY-TO" field is always correct other List Servers I'm on never seem to do this not sure what others see in their Email Client, but this one, sometimes I get this in my email header with 2 recipients from: Evan Koblentz via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> reply-to:vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> to: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> cc: Evan Koblentz <evan@vcfed.org> or this, with 2 recipients, -and- 2 instances of an email address in the "REPLY-TO" field and 2 copies of the List address, one in the :REPLY-TO" field and another one in the "TO:" field from: Brian L. Stuart via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> reply-to:"Brian L. oh, I left out the weirdest example, this one, again with 2 recipients but the following reply is the "kicker" from: Neil Cherry <ncherry@linuxha.com> to: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> cc: Dan Roganti <ragooman@gmail.com> date: Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 1:06 PM subject:Re: [vcf-midatlantic] cross platform coding for the Apple ][ here, this is where I replied shortly after that post on the list, sent by gmail.com maybe the email client is getting confused by the List Server message where the TO and CC had been flipped between the two posts from: Dan Roganti <ragooman@gmail.com> to: Neil Cherry <ncherry@linuxha.com> cc: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> date: Fri, Jan 20, 2017 at 1:10 PM subject:Re: [vcf-midatlantic] cross platform coding for the Apple ][ mailed-by:gmail.com hope all of these examples helps clue somebody into this weird glitch Dan

This is from Thunderbird with just reply (not reply all). Dan what about this one? This is a Reply all (Thunderbird). And the weirdness where Dan became the primary, I see that in my sent box. It maybe a problem on my end where I hit reply (^r) but reply-all is happening (^R). I've noticed that on many of the keyboards I'm using there is a lag on the release of the shift and or ctrl keys. I can't explain it unless the keyboards are worn out. Sometimes it is just me fat fingering the keys. But I've seen a 2 - 3 sec lag on the release of the ctrl or shift keys and the entering of the next key. Happens on the laptop keyboard and the wireless keyboard too often. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies

and i see this from your next post over here from 9:49am still 2 recipients but now my email addr is in the CC btw, there's no "MAILING", or "MAILED-BY" or "SIGNED-BY" in this header from: Neil Cherry <ncherry@linuxha.com> to: vcf-midatlantic <vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> cc: Dan Roganti <ragooman@gmail.com> date: Sun, Jan 29, 2017 at 9:49 AM subject: Re: [vcf-midatlantic] FYI, email header from the strange problem with the List Server

oh ok, so you confirmed it now too
It maybe a problem on my end where I hit reply (^r) but reply-all is happening (^R). I've noticed that on many of the keyboards I'm using there is a lag on the release of the shift and or ctrl keys. I use either laptop or desktop, and I changed my settings in my email client so now it defaults to "Reply-All" when I reply to compensate for this weirdness so I can avoid misdirecting a post for this List but it still happens to others on the list as recent as Evan's post, when he mentioned this glitch in my first post of this thread so if you don't spot the weirdness in the mail header, not everyone is always looking directly at mail headers and so one will still just click "Reply" iso "Reply-All" and the chain of misdirected emails ensues on the other Lists it's not a problem cause the "Reply-all" always finds just one recipient in the header Dan
