Mailman is as simple as possible, most of the time the issue is going to be
with the mail client on the user end.  A Google search of the specific
email program + mailman should reveal the optimal configuration for
mailmain..

As far as mailman itslef, I personally would avoid steering too far from
the default mailman settings.

When people fix whatever issues they had with their particular environment
they can share their solutions with the group "...I got my email software
to play nice with mailman by using [these settings] maybe someone else had
the same [xyz] issues..."
