Same here, with thunderbird; every email is a blank message with a .eml 
html attachment.

Perhaps your sending client is configured for html-only email (at least 
for this list), when it should be configured as text-only or text+html?

Or perhaps it is set as html-only but as attachment only, as opposed to 
embedded-html?

Not really sure.
