Yes, you have to be careful opening the cases. Cheaper tablet tend to
be made out of a more brittle plastic. But careful application of a
sharp object can pry them open. I have 2 that I need to get new batteries
for. I'm running them on external power to use them and they work with
my web server and Javascript.
