[vcf-midatlantic] OT: FIOS Voice Backup Battery Replacement for 12V 7.2Ah

You can buy a generic SLA battery on ebay (or anywhere, really), and they
come in standard sizes so you can hardly mess up buying a replacement for
the FiOS battery.

I bought a Harbor Freight generator after Hurricane Irene left me without
power for a week.

I converted it to natural gas, you can buy a kit to do that on the
internet. Google is
your friend.

I chain it to the house when in use so it won't walk away.

Having it run on nat gas was a huge win when Sandy had me without power for
another
week (or more). I didn't have to queue up for gasoline.

If I had it to do over again, I'd buy the 4KW generator, the 7KW is
overkill.
The 4KW is the smallest one with 220 2-phase output, so it can run my well
pump.
