​hmmmm, after a few more tries, it eventually discovers the pdf instead
in the beginning all I was getting is the generic *.htm file​ while trying
to save the file.
I suppose the browser was waiting for the pdf to load completely.
It happened with another document, and after waiting a couple min, it
finally worked.
