Oh, seeing this news got me excited!

I would also like to chime in for a vote to be able to call in externally.
That said, I've had limited luck using a modem on the VoIP lines I have in
the studio and at home...

2400 baud is ok by me.  :)

That said, to do it via Telnet would be ok too.
