Not sure of chemistry, but I know that ?fake? leather c64 dust cover
which was often sold with the c64 will if packed on the c64 when c64 is
shipped in its original box, NOT react to the styrofoam box, but WILL
soften/eat the ?ABS? plastic of the c64 slightly/surface damage.
I didn't buy this c64 for its looks (I just love messing with it) tho,
so its a non-issue for me, but something to be aware of.
