I owned a C64, but when I was younger I desired a 128. I didn't get
one until much later in life.
I really liked the 128D. I thought it was aesthetically pleasing. It
was a good looking computer. For some people that's not important. It
is to me. It's one of the many reasons I like SGIs.
To me the 128 is a computer that became better with time. When I was
younger I heard a lot of people say, "don't get the 128 because most
developers didn't develop apps for 128 Mode". They wrote for the C64
as there was a larger user base and not as much adoption of the 128.
The introduction of the Atari ST and Amiga didn't help.
But in time as people worked on that machine, applications came out
that took advantage if it's capabilities. It is one of those machines
you can still work on. It is a rather great computer that wasn't given
it proper treatment when it was released.
