That's somewhat true. :)  DG showed me a couple of times and gave me 
written instructions, but I'm not confident enough to say I "know how to 
do it". I can't explain why, but for some reason the HP-1000 and the 
Univac are easier for me to use. Weird, huh?

David, to your original post: I do sometimes turn on the '8 for visitors 
and explain to them about the context of the machine in computer 
history; its unique provenance; how you + Corey restored it; and our 
future plans for it.
