Great idea. Can this still work if I don't have a UPS account? Perhaps pay the store with a credit card?

I try and have sellers that don't seem to handle big stuff take items to
the UPS Store and put it on my UPS shipper's account. The UPS Store is 100%
responsible for loss or damage if they pack it up, so they do an often
excessive job. They'll gouge you on price if you have them give you
"retail" shipping prices but if you've got a UPS shipper's account you'll
get whatever your negotiated rates are.
