    This might be an opportunity for someone to own an Osborne 1A:

    I'm not saying that there might not be more problems with the machine, but 
one of the reasons the display doesn't work is because the video jumper 
connector is missing from the front panel.  You can easily make one from a 
20-pin (2x10) edge card connector.
