Hi Jeff,
There’s a bunch of demos that don’t work on emulators or even on real hardware when there’s a fast loader cartridge present.
Among other obscure tricks, they often use the processor in the external disk drive (which is a 6502!) as a coprocessor.
A good one to try is the “We Are” demo; see http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=67107
If that one works and shows up correctly you should be good. :)
