Speaking of bit slice, has anyone ever seen the 74888
in the wild?

For those not familiar with it, the 74888 was an 8-bit
wide slice (they called it byte-slice) introduced by TI
in the mid '80s. After getting a copy of the databook,
I never really heard from it again. I always had the
feeling it was the last gasp of bit slice chipsets.
