Thus the problem with using free image services. I have my own
servers, so I (and only I) determine when content becomes unavailable,
but people who think that's "too much work" just end up providing
expiring content. Life is a trade-off.
One possible approach would be to have some server space set aside
for this mailing list's content, and let people put stuff there. The
classiccmp mailing lists, while otherwise dysfunctional, provide this
and it works out quite well.
But then we're back to the problem of people thinking it's ok to just
dive in and use tools without first learning anything about them.
