[vcf-midatlantic] VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR VCF EAST!!!

Sorry to put that in all caps, but I had sent out previous requests for
volunteers and many people said that they never saw or noticed them. So
hopefully this one is noticed. I only got 2 volunteers from my previous
requests so I'm making the plea again.

I see volunteers as the oil in the engine of VCF East. They make the whole
show run smoothly and are vital to making things go well. I'm just one
person who runs the show, but can't do it without adequate volunteering. If
I don't get enough volunteers, then the show has a lot of bumps in the road
and the existing volunteers get overwhelmed and there are more unhappy
people than necessary.

Having said that, I need help in many areas:
CONSIGNMENT
A/V
FRONT DESK
SETUP BEFORE THE SHOW
BREAK DOWN AFTER THE SHOW

To have some idea of what is needed day by day:

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6 (SETUP!)
- Moving tables, chairs
- Moving the bunkbeds to the back of the women's bunk room
- Clearing the hotel dining room and the 9032-A exhibit space
- Setting up tables
- Other tasks that I'm forgetting and have on my to-do list.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7 (SETUP!)
- Finish setting up tables, chairs, stage
- Putting tablecloths on tables, and signs
- Putting up outdoor signs
- Moving front desk swag and stuff to the front lobby area
- Other tasks that I'm forgetting and have on my to-do list.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8
- A/V operators
- Consignment volunteers
- Food Sales
- Front Desk volunteers

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9
- A/V operators
- Consignment volunteers
- Food Sales
- Front Desk volunteers

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10
- A/V operators
- Consignment volunteers
- Food Sales
- Front Desk volunteers
- BREAK DOWN VOLUNTEERS  (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AS IT GOES QUICKLY WHEN WE
HAVE ADEQUATE PEOPLE. I UNDERSTAND EVERYONE WILL BE TIRED AND WANT TO GO
HOME, BUT I USUALLY GET STUFF WITH 3 VOLUNTEERS TO DO ALL OF THIS)
