Times 3 with Andy’s comments. I totally get the desire to not go to far “off topic,” and maybe too many of us are lax in setting a subject line that begins with “OT” so others know it’s not a vintage subject.
I do not get my emails from the list in digest version, but in defense of those in the conversation quoted it was one email thread, a single discussion topic from start to finish. To my eyes, it was but a single email chain from start to finish on a topic so it was easily avoided by me because I could just avoid clicking that single email in my inbox.
As mentioned though, rejuvenating printer rollers goes to vintage printers quite well, the item in question just didn’t happen to be a vintage printer!! :-)
Emails like yours help remind all of us to use the off topic title when appropriate and to endeavor to not stray too far afield as we respond to different discussions. Don’t ever apologize for responding to the list with concerns, ideas, griped, whatever! It’s part of what makes this list great.
