So if I see an assembly number: 250425, then how do I know if it is Rev A
or Rev. B?

I look at this site for Rev A:
https://www.breadbox64.com/c64-hardware/commodore-64/assy-250425-rev-a/
And the same site for Rev B:
https://www.breadbox64.com/c64-hardware/commodore-64/assy-250425-rev-b/

Not very helpful. The description is the same.
