What kind of Amigas? You need to socket quad side chips that aren't? I 
thought about doing that on an Amiga 600 motherboard I was trying to 
repair but I think trying to hot air reflow the solder through the access 
holes in the bottom of the socket wouldn't work -- the rest of it would 
start to melt?

In the end, the problem wasn't the 8375 chip. I borrowed one from my Amiga 
2000 and held it on the PCB pads and tried to power on the A600 and no go.
