Hi
Off/on topic I suppose. I may post this on the reg forum but I thought I'd
go here first... start this in the family as such haha.
I've been approached by the Museum Of The Moving Image in Queens (NYC) as
they are looking for someone to maintain/repair their collection of around
50 vintage 1980s arcade games. This is an hourly position from what I
understand.
This is out of my league, and my time is limited. I am just a
computer/electronics hobbyist (and perhaps was foolish to tell them so
haha) but -- I also would like to help them out, and I'd love to see these
games see the light of day. There are some wonderful pieces in the
collection (inc sit down version of Star Wars! Battlezone! I'm such a
sucker for those vector games...)
I am curious if you or anyone you might know would be capable/interested in
something like this. I imagine it's ok if you're out of town and willing
to come in -- but probably best if you're in/near NYC. The museum is
walking distance from my home, and I'm willing to do some assisting.
I'm supposed to go in next Tuesday and take a look. Egad. Haha.
Thanks
Walter
