Interesting discussion came up on the Fujinet channel about networking. I'd
like to toss together a class on networking. This is not for VCF East 2024.
I can get my hands on a sniffer, switches, FWs, cables, clients and servers.
And I might be able to teach it. I've got a lot of 'stuff' (be nice) in my
head.
Unfortunately I need to keep it short but need to cover some basics
Stack
TCP/IP
UDP
connection
connectionless
Bridges
Routers
FW
NAT
Wireshark
No VLANS (but the switch will use them internally), no IPv6, no RTP, no QoS, etc.
I'll need to find my older Comer networking book. Did a nice job with IP
networking in a small book.
