[vcf-midatlantic] consignment system questions

The consignment system is our newest consolidated method of entering and
managing inventory for those ("consignment vendors") wishing to sell at VCF
East Consignment. Each registered consignment vendor on the system can only
look at and browse their own consignment items.

Items are not required to be entered into the system before the event, but
they will be required to be in the system before they can be sold. There
will be computers and personnel at the event to help consignment vendors
enter items into the system. However, expect long lines and wait times to
do so at the event. This year's consignment system is a convenience for
consignment vendors because it runs from most web browsers, even on a
mobile device. It also allows consignment vendors to lower their prices
during the event using the same interface. Price changes made this way will
be immediately reflected at checkout. This is a major advancement over
previous years' use of filling out forms and spreadsheets and having to
jump through hoops to mark down a price for quick sale because they don't
feel like dragging that item back home.

So to answer your question, it is not an index of items to peruse. It is a
tool for consignment vendors to enter the inventory they want to sell.
There are no provisions for others to look at or preview what is going to
be put up for sale at VCF East Consignment. Like in previous years,
inventory will be a surprise to all that show up at the VCF East
Consignment in April. 🙂
