I visited that page, and I also checked the book I have (Revolution in the Valley by Andy Hertzfeld) that the site is based on, but it really seems that the site icontent isn’t much different than the book. What I never recall having seen anywhere was a picture of the video board or hardware Bill used in developing those GUI elements. Most of it was written in Pascal with the lower-level stuff in assembly.
