https://bindable.com/api? looks like a model 4, but with some kind of blanking panel where the drives would live. I wonder if this was an actual version, maybe used in training or a dumb terminal? Or maybe someone just made up a panel. Looks nice :)
They sold the 3/4 models without drives, but I've never seen a blank panel like that. It's likely either custom or Photoshop. -Bill ======================================================== Bill Loguidice, Managing Director; Armchair Arcade, Inc. <http://www.armchairarcade.com> ======================================================== Authored Books <http://www.amazon.com/Bill-Loguidice/e/B001U7W3YS/ref=ntt_dp_epwbk_1> and Film <http://www.armchairarcade.com/film>; About me and other ways to get in touch <http://about.me/billloguidice> ======================================================== On Mon, Apr 30, 2018 at 12:36 PM, W2HX via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:

Didn't Tandy sell a serial terminal based on that case style? A DT-1 maybe? I agree it does look photoshopped or a drawing of something similar. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies

My friend pick up something like this dirt cheap (1985, TCF, $15) and turned it into a dumb terminal. Since it was a Z80 based system and it had all the UARTs. I think it was Data General and anything not used was left unpopulated but the mother board was the same as the systems with the drives (I think they were boards that went into a slot). I recall the system could have floppies and or a Hard Drive. So, yes it was similar to the TRS Model 4 in that it use a Z80 and a similar chipt set. I doubt the similarities went much forther. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
