Is there a place on line that explains the VCF membership in detail and as to what a member is entitled to? If so, please provide a link.
Yes: https://vcfed.org/membership/ "Membership benefits currently include a *20% discount* on all Vintage Computer Festival Events."

Ian is correct. vcf-midatantic is a local email discussion list just means that you are a member of this list and can vote in steering committee elections. The Vintage Computer Federation Forum is separate software run by XenForo bulletin board software. It was originally run by Erik Klein decades ago using Vbulletin. Paid membership for VCF National applies to festivals that they run. The museum is part of the local MARCH group which is under Vintage Computer Federation.

The code is provided to people who have donated as a “VCFed member” for a yearly membership. Hence why it looks like Mike omitted the code. It’s not for being a member of the list or the forum..
Not confusing at all considering that the list, forums, festival, and museum have essentially been the same entity for almost ten years now, yet still somehow manages to be as fragmented as ever..
The point it looks like Mike is trying to make though to go back to the initial topic is that Humanitix is taking fees on ticket sales from the attendees and not the org. Every web ticketing system does this unfortunately.

Thanks for calling my attention to the discount code. I am a member of this email list. "I can provide character references." Yet I did not receive a private message with the discount code for members (of the list), as suggested by the posted email content. I was about to buy the 3-day pass!
I've sent an email to the "Please don't hestitate to contact" email address, using my registered email address, to request that code. I don't know if it's a private code per-member, or a single code for all members. This post is another way I'm asking for that code, to enter into the Humanitix site. - Regards Herbert Johnson
