Remember that oversizing these will also increase their useful life due to wear leveling.

I agree, I use the same brand and same capacities for vintage drive replacments. I have been happy with BlueSCSI drives. I recently replaced 4 cubes' drives. You can download images from the popular NeXT sites. Bill
