too late for the free pile

I found a bunch of USB 1.1 hubs. Is there any reason, no matter how obscure, to keep them? Perhaps some old equipment that cannot handshake on newer ones? The reason I ask: even 10-base-t hubs are still useful for older equipment. I just gave one to August that he calls "the rosetta stone" because it's 12: 10-base-T RJ45, one BNC, one AUI all together in one box. -- Jeff Jonas

The Sanyo monitor is a 9" CRT. I'm happy that I can get another tube as the one I have is badly burned in and has a few other issues. I don't expect that this can't be repaired. :-) On other notes, I managed to get a nice unwanted URDA SDK-85 that seemed to be passed around before I got it. I'll slowly restore that as I need to make an adapter for my EPROM burner to burn the 8755s I also cleaned up the TI99/A keyboard and I'll add that to my TS1000. Huge thanks to Jonanthan Sturges for the donation of a Hakko 470. It is quiet and works /really/ well. That will get a lot of mileage. I used it and immediately clogged it but managed to get it cleaned out. This will give me a chance to clean up the Cheap Chinese desoldering station from a few years ago. Swap Meet Success! - Oct. 2025

I want to first of all thank all the volunteers whose hard work helped to make this swap meet a success. I want to thank certain individuals who went above and beyond to support me. Joe Giliberti - Starting two months before the swap meet he selected, tested and priced all the VCF surplus items, selected items for the free pile, helped load the trucks at night and unload the trucks in the early morning hours and in so many other ways over the past few weeks. Emilio - Helped to organize and put shrink wrap on the racks, spent hours at the ticket table and the front desk and in many other ways. Tom Gesell - Helped two days before the event reorganize the free pile racks so that they would be easy to wrap, helped at the ticket desk, front desk, loading and unloading during breakdown. Ken Gober - Spent hours watching the back entrance to direct people to the front entrance. Helped with loading and loading the UHaul truck. Doug Crawford - helped watch the VCF surplus racks and free pile racks. Rich Bauman and Andy Bodnar - Directed parking. They did an excellent job! Rick Lewis - Managed the front desk, put out the yard signs, picked them up, picked me up at the Uhaul rental place both times. Steve Lagotte and many others names I didn't know and helped support me and the other volunteers with the breakdown and unloading. Thank you buyers! We had a record number of buyers this year. There was a 74% increase in buyers from the previous swap meet. We had held steady for 5 years with the same number, but this year we had a growth spurt with lots of new people. Thank you vendors! We had a record number of vendors this year with a 76% increase than previous years. The great weather helped a lot, but word seems to be spreading about how great our swap meet is. Does anyone know the lineage of the LCM's IBM 4361 mainframe?

I'm working on a write-up on the history of the IBM 4361 for the ICM, and while I have a fair bit of information from IBM itself on the 4361 in general, I'd like to know about their 4361 in particular. I recall a Moshix YouTube video where some background of the machine was discussed: that it was used at a business in California which had kept a spare 4361 for parts. But does anybody here know any of the specific details? What was the name of the business, when did LCM+L acquire it, what was it originally used for, that sort of thing. This will all go into the final paragraph of the write-up.
