Hello VCF: I have some SGI gear I'm going to start selling off in 2024 and so Festivus is a great place to do a deal. I won't be bringing it all up due to size but I'll list some pieces here and if you are interested email me off-list and we can talk pricing. - SGI Origin 2100 compute deskside. 4 x IP31, 16GB RAM. Lots of ram, cpus but no gfx! - SGI Personal Iris - 4D/20, 12M, R3k and runs 4d1. Keyboard and mouse - SGI Indigo 1 - Elan, R4k, dat (does not work), scsi2sd - boots 4 or 5 - SGI Octane 1 - base model with base gfx. - SGI Fuel - 4G, 300Gb disk, V12 I'll be bringing some smaller stuff to sell at F. but again, i'm not bringing these systems up unless it's to hand over to their new owner! I recently picked up one of those Toshiba 3200 luggable computers The guy only wanted $35 and it worked! It came with a nice carrying case also! New VCF East 2024 Dates: April 12, 13, 14

We have decided to move VCF East to April 12, 13 & 14. There was a significant number of people that were traveling to see the solar eclipse so that would have impacted attendance significantly. Interested in being a docent? Come to Festivus to get training!

Have you ever thought about being a docent at the VCF museum? Well now's your chance to try it out and get some training! It's a busy time this weekend with the holiday model train show @ InfoAge. There will be other docents there to help train you and get you started. Don't worry if you don't think that you know a lot. You will learn as you go. Most people are just looking for general guidance on the exhibits or with help operating the many hands-on machines that we have. Bart Hurst, one of our newest docents can tell you about how he was hesitant about being a docent at the beginning and how he received awesome training from our docents and now has great confidence in giving tours. If you haven't been to our museum for a while, then you are in for a treat! Lots of changes since last time. Our docents have been working hard to enhance the VCF museum. If you are interested, then let me know and I will pair you up with a buddy docent. We are always looking to add to our prestigious ranks of docents and you can join them! We are always looking for more docents, even if you can only come once a week, once a month, once every two months or three months. All are welcome! Thanks! Sadly, after much discussion with potential vendors, there’s not nearly enough volume to attract food trucks, or even hot dog carts.
