help with sun 3/50 video

Hello: I picked up a Sun 3/50 that works fine but I need a mono crt for it. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with them and remembers if other monitors work or what the specs are with them. I have a keyboard and am getting a mouse. thanks, -andy

Looking for schematic for Tandy HD

All – I just obtained a 25-1025 10MB external hard drive unit for my Tandy 2000. There is a relay inside that powers the unit on when accessed from the controller. Unfortunately, one of the relay coil leads has come undone (the trigger, not the ground) and I don’t know where it goes. Does anyone have a schematic of the power supply or a copy of the service manual, or a link, so I can fix it? Thanks! Pet Help

Hey- My life is still in turmoil, but I decided to have a go at my PET before moving it on to a new home (yes, some of you know who I'm looking at). At this point, it is semi-conscious again... but... I appear to have a strong clock, phi1, phi2, and there appears to be data appearing on the data lines of the 6502 (see the logic analyzer output). The display, however, is not happy looking. Additionally, while the display in the photo looks awesome (compared to complete darkness), it will randomly flicker to darkness or perhaps even go dark for long periods. Nothing is particularly hot on the board, I just burned a complete set of EPROMs (and verified them), and I've been over the board three times looking for solder joints, etc. When the screen goes dark, the tube is still glowing, so I'm guessing that it's a video circuitry problem, but I'm stumped as how to tell if it's on the board or on the CRT board. (This is a 2001-N 32k..) Any suggestions? I know we have some PET pros around here. Photos attached. My doctor sent me to the emergency room where I was diagnosed with Leukemia. The treatment will require another 6 to 8 weeks in the hospital, so there is no way I can fill orders. I have email, but won’t be checking very often. It is unlikely any development work will take place, although my wife and kids have offered to bring things in for me to work on. Any orders placed will be cancelled until further notice and monies refunded. Princeton data center visit

Only two or three people expressed interest in seeing the Princeton U. data center, and I had a different reason to be on their campus today, so I asked for a last-minute tour and my contact their obliged. They have multiple data centers. Most of them are production IT. The one they showed me has some IT but mostly it's science: https://facilities.princeton.edu/projects/high-performance-computing-resear… I was blown away by how clean it is inside! :) It's almost mostly lights-out -- I only saw two employees during the 60-minute tour, and the lights went on/off automatically as we traversed the hallways. Financial.jpg is a cage with special security for one rack that's used with credit card transactions. Super_hp.jpg is "TIGER" -- their HPE-designed supercomputer. IBM_9.jpg is their newest machine under construction. Museum report

Only a few visitors today, but they were good ones, including two engineers -- one ex-HP, one ex-Bell Labs. Our museum internet access is via a hotspot (Mobile Citizen, which is $10/month exclusively for non-profits). We recently ordered a newer version of the hotspot, which arrives next Monday. But they made a mistake and deactivated our old one yesterday .... GRRRR ... so we didn't have any internet access today nor will we have it this weekend. There's a change they will reactivate the old one in the next day or two. I am skeptical but I have no way of knowing if it works until I get there and try it Saturday. I spent some time working on version 2 of our touchscreen information kiosk. This time the work is focusing on better layout/writing for the kiosk content. In version 1 I focused on getting all the right tech bits, tying up loose ends with the CSS, getting the web server running, and making sure the whole setup is rock-solid reliable.
