Assistance Programming PROMs

I have six units of Fairchild MB7052, 256 x 4bits PROMs. Thought my old Advin-MVP would program these, but seems it can't. Checked around and found they MUST be directly supported as other settings like National's 74S287 part won't work. Something about different voltages needed I believe. So... Museum report

Adam and I worked in the museum and warehouse from 11am to 10pm today. We are tired, but we got good things accomplished! Some highlights: - Herb stopped by for two hours and helped us identify some unique items. - Roddy (artist across from VCF museum) helped us install the first part of a hallway display case. - We organized some Univac items - We cleared and put away a pallet full of random boxed items. - We built a shelving unit partially for Altos (not "Alto") computers and partially for analog stuff (Heathkit EC-1 and extra Philbrick items). - We built a shelving unit for more S-100 items (mostly Cromemco). So, with those last three points, we freed three pallets of space from the unorganized side of the warehouse and got their contents onto proper shelving racks in the organized side. There is still a lot to do (always!) but it's always rewarding when we leave the warehouse cleaner, better organized, and appearing emptier than when we arrived. We made some plans for how to proceed next time. There are more areas of low-hanging fruit where a little work will make a big difference.

Looking for “clean” Morrow code

All — I’m looking for a clean copy of the program “format mw.c” from the Morrow distribution disks (probably The versions on-line (the RLEE archive) seem to have garbage characters in them (maybe from a bad OCR)? Does anyone have this that they can send me? It’s a hard drive formatting program for the HDC_DMA controller. Thanks!Rich Get Outlook for iOS

Can PD-1 LF-1094C drive read NeXT optical disk cartridges?

Hello all, I recently visited the Large Scale Systems Museum in New Kensington, PA, and one of the NeXT boxes had an optical drive. I have a Compaq Presario 9240 from the late 1990s which came with a PD-1 LF-1094C drive that is driven by an Opti Dual PCI IDE Controller on IRQ 14.
