I may have mentioned this before: little plastic bags are available at BigLots and your supermarket: Hefty basics double zipper "snack portion pack". 80: 3 1/2" x 5 7/8" to a box. Very sturdy, perfect for small parts! Walmart sells smaller ziplock bags in the crafts section for beads! A workshop "must-have" for all those tiny loose parts! I just got back from the Sussex County Amateur Radio Club Inc. hamfest. The outdoor flea market is IMPRESSIVE! I did not find any treasures (no $20 Kim) but came back with all sorts of goodies from jumpers and knobs and connectors to a Nixie voltmeter. Somehow I missed catching up with Kelly, but I got to chat with Jeff Galinat (dealer with the greate location: cool breeze), Herb Johnson, Dean and not-Drew. The Saturday workshop went well: I did my project and the photos show lotsa Apple ][c,+,e being tested. Commodore stuff too! -- jeffj

Looking for schematics[pdf] - Vector Hi-Res Graphics board [S-100]

Anyone have pdf schematics for the Vector Hi-Res Graphics board [S-100] This is from 1977, a similar design as the Dazzler but much higher resolution,256x240 Although it's not color, it does have 16 level grey scale at 128x120, I think it was a nice design. Wouldn't take much to add color with a phase delay color burst. But it relies specifically on using their own 8K memory card for the bitmap memory. Because it contains DIP ribbon cables which plug into certain IC sockets on their memory card Also looking for the owners manual too, most likely the schematics are in there too. I like to make this compatible for any 8K memory card. Since power lines typically are not shielded, I doubt if that power line solution is FCC compliant. I have a friend who briefly worked for a power line WAN startup - he said they couldn’t get anywhere because of radiated emissions. regards, Mike Willegal

Looks like the same Potter Tape Drives that were used on the UNIVAC 1240 Magnetic Tape Unit. The UNIVAC generation of equipment before the 1540's at VCFed. The T-handle was to retract the tension arms mechanically rather than with a motor as the later units had.
