Food options at VCF East 2023

Unfortunately, I was unable to get a caterer to sell food at our show this year. We are going with Plan B which is to sell food like we did last year. It will be sold in the cafeteria where consignment is located. Our food license allows us to sell packaged food and to reheat frozen food such as Hot Pockets. semi Off Topic: unbricking a Chromebook

I salvaged a Lenovo 100e Chromebook 2nd Gen MTK model 81QB I'm trying to reinstall ChromeOS to give it to Infoage for the front desk. At first, the boot screen told me to insert a USB drive with the recovery image. I went to http://google.com/chromeos/recovery and created a USB drive with recovery image (15329.59.0) I put the USB drive into the Chromebook only to get a blank screen. I left it alone for hours and nothing happened. Frobbing the power switch seems to have bricked it. It now gives a blank screen, only briefly flashing the "still updating" message. Is there any way to recover from this? Thanks -- jeff jonas

Live Conference Connection with Museums at VCF Museum at VCF East

We are supporting a live conference screen from the museum for VCF East to other museums or venues. Or at least we would like to have the ability to "ring" you and connect visitors to your museums for a chat. The idea is to give you a chance to talk to interested parties real time that we meet in the museum, finding that there is an interest that they have that relates to your place. And give you a chance to talk up your museum. The Steering Committee liked the idea; we'll see how it goes. If there is interest I'll arrange the connections. Leave comment/interest here, thanks. Looking to buy Mac SE - meet at East?

Hello - I'm still looking for a decent spare SE. Nothing but a SE. No battery damage and it would be nice if it boots. Not worried about keyboard or mouse, or any HDs in it. I need a spare to help diagnose this one I have. If you have one and are going to East and want some cash Friday - message me and let's do a deal. Meanwhile, I'm having a ton of fun with this BBS software that is being developed for System 6.0.x on the Mac. The author just implemented support for FidoNet and so it can do net messaging for that super retro feel. It actually a nice system to have as a test BBS for various 8bits when testing with FujiNet.
