Anyone on list in proximity to Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania? There's a Winsted equipment rack that's a cosmetic match for what we have deployed already that I am considering purchase of Before arranging shipping / freight, anyone nearby that might be headed to VCF East or the swap meet? Martin

Video Game maintenance/repair for Museum Of The Moving Image (NYC)

Hi Off/on topic I suppose. I may post this on the reg forum but I thought I'd go here first... start this in the family as such haha. I've been approached by the Museum Of The Moving Image in Queens (NYC) as they are looking for someone to maintain/repair their collection of around 50 vintage 1980s arcade games. This is an hourly position from what I understand. This is out of my league, and my time is limited. I am just a computer/electronics hobbyist (and perhaps was foolish to tell them so haha) but -- I also would like to help them out, and I'd love to see these games see the light of day. There are some wonderful pieces in the collection (inc sit down version of Star Wars! Battlezone! I'm such a sucker for those vector games...) I am curious if you or anyone you might know would be capable/interested in something like this. I imagine it's ok if you're out of town and willing to come in -- but probably best if you're in/near NYC. The museum is walking distance from my home, and I'm willing to do some assisting. The consensus is PCMCIA jewel case. I still have no idea what came in those although I have a vague recollection of at least one sampler/snyth that used them back in the day. In any case, thanks for the help! I added these to my for sale pages for free if anyone can use them. - Bob

Off topic - LFP UPS for small system backup?

Off topic. Is anyone using (retail or homemade) a Lithium Ion battery (preferably LFP) UPS for backing up a home server or router? Any recommendations for devices? (Would like something with minimum 300Wh of capacity and able to sustain 100W load. More is certainly OK). Thanks.

Looking for a Palm IIIc

Hello! I've got an interesting problem. Basically I make use of any of three different Palm IIx devices I have here to display data from available hardware on my collection of breadboards. And I've reached the point in my work where the apps I use on the thing would look better on a color display enabled Palm. Usual terms apply. Oh and the velociraptors are all off this coming week and all of next month.
