Video Game maintenance/repair for Museum Of The Moving Image (NYC)

Hi Off/on topic I suppose. I may post this on the reg forum but I thought I'd go here first... start this in the family as such haha. I've been approached by the Museum Of The Moving Image in Queens (NYC) as they are looking for someone to maintain/repair their collection of around 50 vintage 1980s arcade games. This is an hourly position from what I understand. This is out of my league, and my time is limited. I am just a computer/electronics hobbyist (and perhaps was foolish to tell them so haha) but -- I also would like to help them out, and I'd love to see these games see the light of day. There are some wonderful pieces in the collection (inc sit down version of Star Wars! Battlezone! I'm such a sucker for those vector games...) I am curious if you or anyone you might know would be capable/interested in something like this. I imagine it's ok if you're out of town and willing to come in -- but probably best if you're in/near NYC. The museum is walking distance from my home, and I'm willing to do some assisting. My two cents... I agree with Bob R. Fine for this list, but probably not great for the museum or public spaces. Just so you know, we used to have this sign up in the museum, in the early days of it. I guess at some point it was taken down. I think Jeff Jonas put it up but that was 15 years ago maybe. WHo knows where it is now. AT&T 6386 WGS I don't think an Amiga keyboard will work. It's probably a standard AT keyboard interface. I'm pretty sure it's a standard Intel designed motherboard. AT&T 6386 WS keyboard db9

I don’t usually ask too many questions about 80’s computers here at this group, but I just recently picked up an AT&T 6386WS 386 computer, which uses a DB9 for a keyboard input. Several people have told me that they don’t make adapters and I have not seen any homebrew CONVERTERS for a standard AT keyboard. So I figured I would give it a shot and ask the more educated people here. If anybody has better information than purchasing a true AT&T or compatible keyboard for over $50, please feel free to share! I am also curious to know if an Amiga computer keyboard would work? OT / APC AP9617 UPS network card reset

Will be deploying multiple AP9617 UPS network cards at ISEC (the dish antenna site up the road) as wrap-up items on the bucket list They are currently set to an unknown static IP. If necessary, can wire shark the Ethernet connection and pick up the IP address using the MAC that is on the card itself. Anyone have a reset procedure that actually works? Martin
